Web Performance Inc. has published a very interesting report, which included a couple of surprises. Jetty pretty much sucked, JRun was one of the top guns, and Tomcat wasn't too far behind JRun.

Interesting to see the most expensive server in the test (Websphere) come in last...
Of course without knowing who paid for the test the results don't tell a lot.
Are they tweaked to favour one server over another?
Was the application written specifically to use areas in which one server is known weak in order to pull it down?

The report does mention that WebSphere's performance improved significantly when they tweaked the setup... (but still couldn't catch the cheaper products)
