Software and People

It's another grand blogger tradition. After a handful of posts, I've felt the need to change the look and feel of the blog from the grey, compartmented look of the default pebble installation to something that suits me better.

I'm not proud, and I am keen to learn. So, if you like it, hate it, can't read it, or just don't care, please let me know.

Maybe it's only me, but with IE5.0 I see the calendar on the left overlapping with the entries on the right.
Ah. I've finally found a copy of IE5 running on one of my older machines, and I see what you mean.

It looks like it's not honoring the font sizes in the calendar, or the width of the main panel. More tinkering needed, I guess.

How about getting rid of that grey background color (white could be better)...?
Hmm. The style for this blog was pretty much copied from my web site at servletshop.com, which, in turn was based on my other site at education-pages.co.uk.

The idea of the coloured surround is to draw attention to the actual content of the pages, and de-emphasise the "furniture".

You may well be right that the grey seems dull, but I'd not want to lose the separation between content and navigation. I'll do something with this comment screen, though...
