I just watched (well, listened to, mostly) a TDD webcast by Jim Newkirk of Microsoft and spotted something obnoxious.

The namespace for the unit testing framework in the forthcoming Visual Studio 2005 Team System is none other than
Microsoft.VisualStudio.QualityTools.UnitTesting.Framework

How crooked is that? They are going to change it, right? Right? I mean auto-complete helps, but still...

Nothing like having the tool's name in what's effectively (or ought to be) a general-purpose framework. Given that name, I'd almost hope that the framework won't run anywhere else except within VS, just so that the name is justified ...
Justifies that even a firm like MS does not know what the crap it is doing some times. Well, I take that back. They don't know what they are doing on the windows XP security front most of the times.
