It is both a delight and a moment of sadness to read something like this. Imagine what the world would be like if it didn't take a number of decades for effective software development practices to gain momentum. Would you like to live in that world? Could you live in that world already tomorrow? Why not give it a try?


Funny. As much success as I've had doing TDD, most of my coworkers are still quite skeptical. "I don't see how I would test this," is the common response. Well, how are you going to test it? Then automate that. :)

It is difficult to climb up that first hill. Yet, once you're there, the remaining climbs are much easier.

Come to think of it, I did a lot of unnecessary climbing back when I was first trying TDD on random parts of whatever I was working on. Looking back, it probably looked like I was into SM... If I'd had someone sitting next to me while taking on that rocky mountain, I'm pretty sure I would've gotten over it a lot faster.
