The Vision Thing and Software As She's Developed so far represent the majority of my experience with podcasts. I have to ask, what's with the corny intros and loud music? Otherwise, I love being able to "just listen" while cooking or otherwise spacing out a bit.
Well, despite the corny intros and loud music in the beginning, I really digged this podcast on project management with Hal Macomber, Johanna Rothman and Clarke Ching.

Re: What's with the corny intros in podcasts?
Corny, eh? It sounds OK to me... :-)
I add the musical elements to our programs to give the listener a sense of beginning, middle, end. If it's just me droning on for an hour, that's not fun to listen to. Because of my exciting guests (glad you liked the Project Management show), it's not just me droning on so that helps.
Seriously, is the music really loud? It seems "just right" when I mix the shows, but that's me and my hearing loss' opinion.

Well, it does have a "TV commercials effect" where the commercials are clearly louder than the programs themselves, but it's definitely not a showstopper (pun intended;).
