My favorite online bookmarking service, del.icio.us, has been down for at least 12 hours after a power failure and some kind of a RAID crash left the bookmark databases with corrupted data. They've said no data has been lost and everything will be just like before as soon as they've rebuilt all the indexes.

Based on all of the comments in the del.icio.us blog, it sure is a popular service. And I have to say I do feel a bit naked not able to tag a certain blog entry that's been sitting on my laptop's screen since this morning.

Hmm. Maybe I should pick up my pace on the feed translator and start developing a tagging aggregator which would synchronize my tags between the various online bookmarking services and protect my addiction from this kind of downtimes...
