I've been doing a little (my own definition of "little") cleaning up at home for Christmas. As a result of going through the pile of stuff I've built up on my desk, I found(*) a piece of wisdom I had written down on an index card abandoned in the very bottom of the pile:

stubborn != disciplined

I can't for the heck of it remember where and why I wrote that down, but I can imagine it has been after an "interesting" discussion...

(*) I also found a little plastic bag from a carry-on bag with three brand new pairs of black socks. An early Christmas present for myself... I guess that tells something about how bad I am with unpacking my stuff before packing again.
