Home Networking - 101

So, I just learned that the first thing you want to do to create a home network is to add all the (Windows) PC's that you want to be networked into the SAME WorkGroup. Then ofcourse, you need the wires (or not), the router etc etc... Cool.....now I have a home network (

with two boxes, but still shhhh!!!

I've got a home network as well. Wireless. And get this. I've got two laptops hooked up. One through a wire, sitting right next to the router, and one over the WLAN, also sitting next to the router 99,9% of the time. Yet, I feel empowered by knowing that I could go on the sofa, the bed, the balcony and not lose connectivity. Strange.
