I recently discovered Lexico's CleverKeys software, which allows you to lookup a given word in a remote dictionary (like www.dictionary.com) or thesaurus (like www.thesaurus.com) in one single step. The installation ran flawlessly in about 10 seconds. When you launch the tool, a small icon appears in the system tray, through which you can set some preferences. Then you can select a word at any time in any program and press Ctrl+L. A browser window is opened and the word you selected is looked up within the dictionary database. Agreed, this is no revolution, but it's a nice shortcut that I use very often. A nice addition would be to enable the search to occur in several user-configurable dictionaries at the same time, which is not possible in the current version. Moreover, Linux users will have to wait patiently as only Windows and Mac versions are provided. Does anyone know of a similar tool on Linux?
